Preserves: something delicious on the table in an instant

Preserves and canned goods are very handy when something tasty has to be put on the table and fresh stock ran out. There is nothing wrong with good preserves, especially when you know that e.g. only super-ripe tomatoes were processed. That only responsibly caught fish was professionally cleaned before being packed in tins. That only the most beautiful sun-dried cherry tomatoes were put behind glass. That tins and glass must therefore be seen as a completely separate group of ingredients of which it is always good to have the necessary items in stock. Sun, maturity, terroir and passionate craftsmanship are always included!
