Also known as pearl couscous. Moghrabieh is originally from Lebanon and the Middle East and the name means couscous from the Maghreb. It's in between couscous and pasta. Our Lebanese moghrabieh is made from semolina, water and salt, formed into beautiful pearls. Moghrabieh is traditionally eaten in the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli with chickpeas, onions and sometimes chicken or other meat flavored with allspice, cinnamon and caraway. You can eat Moghrabieh as a pasta. We think this pearl couscous is really great in salads and soups.
