This is a za'atar made by Vanilla Venture based on a spicy, robust Lebanese za'atar. Made using wild thyme it is oregano-like, with extra sesame seeds, floral sumac and some fleur de sel for added structure and taste. It is indispensable when making manouche, the Lebanese breakfast of fresh flatbread with olive oil and za'atar. We also find this spicy za'atar delicious with lamb, chicken or egg dishes and it’s great sprinkled on roasted vegetables.
