Moghrabiah SHP

Also known as pearl couscous. Moghrabieh is originally from Lebanon and the Middle East and the name means couscous in the Maghreb. It is in fact somewhere between couscous and pasta. Our Lebanese moghrabieh is made with semolina, water and salt then shaped into beautiful pearls. Moghrabieh is traditionally eaten in the northern Lebanese town of Tripoli with chickpeas, onions and sometimes chicken or other meat flavoured with allspice, cinnamon and caraway seeds. Moghrabieh can also be eaten as a pasta. We have found it works really well in salads and soups too.
