Pomegranate molasses (dibs el rumman) is a sweet-sour syrup reduction of pomegranate juice. This wonderful, deep brown molasses is one of our favourite Lebanese products from producers Joseph and Nizar Meneem in Batroun (Northern Lebanon). The molasses is complex, fresh and sweet. We’ve never tasted a dibs el rumman like it! Great with vegetables and grains, salads, sauces, with chicken and other meats and even in sweets. It also makes the perfect companion to tahini.
